Browse or Search the Knowledge Base
As a registered user of SustainLane Government, you can download best practice documents from the Sustainability Knowledge Base.
You can browse the Knowledge Base by category (e.g. Waste Management). All categories are listed on the Homepage. Or, you can run a more specific query by clicking the blue Search button above.
Search the Peer Network
Registered users who are government officials or authorized government contractors can access the Peer Network. This is a phone and email directory of sustainability practitioners working in government-related capacities.
Submit a Best Practice Document
SustainLane Government relies on user-contributed best practices from government practitioners. Documents we accept include, but aren't limited to:
- ordinances
- program reports
- action plans
For the Knowledge Base, we tend to privilege submissions that cover most, if not all, of the following:
- Summary of the problem or challenge that is being addressed
- Program implementation, including project plan
- Organizations involved
- Fiscal summary
- Current status
- Lessons learned
To submit a best practice:
Click the blue button, marked Submit, which appears on the universal navigation. Then follow the prompts to send a file from your computer to ours. We prefer MS Word or PDF file formats.
It takes a few days for us to review the best practice document to ensure that it meets the standard for the knowledge base. If you have a question about whether a program document you might have qualifies for our Knowledge Base, contact us.
